Dave did his undergraduate and graduate work at Lehigh University culminating in a doctorate in educational research. While at Lehigh he discovered the joys and frustrations of working with computers as he moved through the ranks of programmer, project leader, systems analyst, and manager of administrative systems. In the late seventies, Dave left Lehigh to become an independent computer consultant and part-time computer science instructor. Over the years he has taught computer science and information systems at various colleges including Northampton County Community College and Moravian College.

Dave is currently devoting full-time to his software development practice where he analyzes requirements, designs solutions, and implements software to satisfy the information systems needs of his clients. He uses Unix, Windows 95, and MS-Dos on a regular basis. His favorite procedural language is Pascal but he can write C when necessary. His favorite object-oriented language is Java with Eiffel a close second. But he has developed several object libraries and neural network programs using C++.

To force himself to stay current in computing and help others discover the joys and overcome the frustrations of computing, Dave also teaches courses in the MSIS at Allentown College.

His primary research interests are in requirements analysis, object-oriented software development, neural networks, and genetic algorithms.
