"Surgeons & the Spirit
Spring 2001 -- an interdisciplinary team of researchers from DeSales University designed a pilot study to assess the possible relationship between a surgeon's religiosity and his/her clinical practice.
Fall 2001 -- researchers gathered and analyzed data from the study among surgeons in the Eastern Pennsylvania Health Network
Fall 2002 -- the final report on the study is completed, submitted to the Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons, and accepted for publication
Summer 2003 -- due to repeated editorial delays, the study is withdrawn from the B.A.C.S. and submitted for publication to the Journal on Religion and Health
Fall 2003 -- the study is accepted for publication in the Journal on Religion and Health
Spring 2005 -- the study is published in the Journal of Religion and Health, volume 44, number 1, pages 67-80.
