ELECTRONIC JOURNAL

The Salesian Center for Faith & Culture plans to initiate the publication of a scholarly journal in an electronic format.  The journal will present readers with the fruits of research and dialogue from the Salesian Center.

To be called Florilège (from the Latin/French for flowers and gathering), the journal takes its inspiration from the establishment of the Florimontane Academy by St. Francis de Sales.  It seeks to function as an anthology of the "flowers" of modern scholarship in literature, science, theology and other areas, as these relate to contemporary concerns of faith and culture.

The following protocols are currently being developed:

• the determination of an editorial policy

• the appointment of an editorial staff and the selection of an editorial board

• guidelines for submissions by authors

• policies for electronic access

The journal will be made available by subscription to any interested parties. 

An index of all issues will be compiled and made available on-line.
