Dialogue Programs - Discussion Groups
THE LUNCH BUNCH
This is an informal discussion group for interested faculty & staff at DSU who read a book of contemporary cultural concern and discuss their commentaries with each other (and sometimes in printed essays).
The group meets three times in the Fall semester and three times in the Spring semester, at six-week intervals. Each meeting takes place on a Tuesday, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, in the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture.
The dates for the Fall 2008 meetings are:
September 9 / October 21 / November 25.
The Salesian Center for Faith & Culture will provide the books to be read and the place for discussion. The Center will also provide a free lunch (and you thought there was no such thing!). Participants need only provide their interest and their thoughts.
Here's how to join the Lunch Bunch:
(1) Consider the texts listed for the semester [click here for the site]. Choose three (3) books and prioritize them according to your own interest (#1 being your first choice to read, #2 your second, #3 your last).
(2) Send your priority list to the Salesian Center [click here for email] and indicate your interest in joining this year's Lunch Bunch.
(3) The Fall 2008 group and the readings will be selected on June 30, so get your entries in before then!
If you have any questions, please contact the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture.
