"Conversations about Beauty"

LS 4004 - Fall 2008

Transcending the limits of materialism and a scientific approach to knowledge, this seminar considers the role of aesthetic experience in human perception and understanding.  Through discussion of poetry and critical essays, students will ponder principal dimensions of the aesthetic realm, including feeling and imagination, beauty, and the arts.   

The faculty facilitator for this seminar is Stephen Myers, Ph.D. (Associate Professor of English and Chair of the Humanities Department).

The seminar meets on TUESDAY mornings at 8:00 AM in .
