ABOUT THE COMPANY:
  • Background

The inspiration for "The Word Among Us" grew out of a 2007 performance in the John Paul II Memorial Arts & Culture series, sponsored by the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture at DeSales University.  Building on the highly acclaimed Act One theatre program at DSU, the performance featured student actors giving a dramatic stage reading of The Jeweler's Shop.  Under the guidance of theatre faculty, the performance was taken "on the road" for a national conference in the Summer of 2008 ... and the company was born!

  • Staff
  • Artistic Director

A member of Actors Equity and the Screen Actors Guild, Anne Lewis has more than 20 years acting experience.  An assistant professor of theatre at DSU, she teaches acting classes and found the DSU Summer Theatre Institute.
